Qi'a™ Superfood - Chia, Buckwheat & Hemp Cereal Apple Cinnamon
I am a new convert to gluten free eating. I was given some of this by a friend and it sat on my shelf for a few weeks. One day I got really brave and mixed up a bowl, following the directions on the package. My first thought was, "this stuff looks strange" and my second thought was, "only TWO tablespoons? Really?" I was also skeptical that this product would sustain my hunger until lunch as well as provide enough protein to keep my blood sugars regulated. I was nervous that it would taste very strangely. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised that I really liked it! It was nutty and just the right amount of sweet with the apples and cinnamon. It is also satisfyingly chewy. I am happy to report also that I have now almost finished off the package, eating this every morning, and I am looking forward to trying the cranberry vanilla flavor as well. I feel great after eating this for breakfast, I am full, sustained until lunch, and I have not felt any dips in my blood sugar. I would encourage anyone who is skeptical like me to give it a try. You may be surprised as well!
Wow, totally packed with a nutritious punch that you feel moments after eating. Can be eaten alone or sprinkled on yogurt or oatmeal. Really great tasting too. Hope this product is around for a long time!
One of my favorite new discoveries! I love the flavor as well as the texture of the chia and the crunch of the buckwheat groats. Definitely a great way to start my day, and super quick and convenient too (just add hot water and let sit for a few minutes). It's also an excellent source of energy if you're hungry and need a quick snack that doesn't make you feel sluggish afterwards. Add extra stuff like fruits and berries, seeds, shredded coconut etc for a more substantial bowl.
