I LOOOOVEE this cereal I feel like another reviewer *Katie* I usually don't write reviews. I also like with reduced sugar vanilla almond milk. I put bananas, strawberries, cranberries, and blueberries for an explosion of flavor. I have turned so many people on to this cereal...it has contributed to a major weight loss when I was not eating meat for a short period of time. I will eat this cereal for life!!
I've been buying this cereal for a few months now because it's healthy and taste great! I'm always reading health and wellness magazines to learn as much as I can about foods/ingredients that provide a good health benefit. One thing that I'm questioning about the product is am I really getting the "health benefit" from flaxseed by eating it whole, which is how it comes in the cereal??? Based on my studies, flaxseed, when eaten whole, is more likely to pass through the intestinal tract undigested, which means your body doesn't get all the healthful components. Flaxseed has a hard protective shell and is best absorbed into the body when it's put into your food already milled or ground. I've noticed it coming out of the body in the same form that it went in, which means its not being absorbed in the body. I challenge Nature's Path to make sure their products deliver ALL the health benefits that they say it does, especially since I pay a good penny for them. I've also purchased the Flax Plus Hot Oatmeal and the flaxseed is whole in that as well.
