I read the last couple reviews and I am looking at a bag of Mesa Sunrise. There are no mystery ingredients, no "flavors" just the real stuff. That being said, I just happened across this and gave it run. I absolutely love it. Since I've cut a lot of sugar out of my diet I have to say that this has just the perfect amount of sweetness to it, mild, not overbearing and absolutely delicious. My favorite cereal I've ever had. And I mean it seriously. I can't find it again at the store I bought it so I'm on the quest now to get some more. Thanks for making such a great blend of foods. Makes my breakfast experience a great one every day. Cheers! btw, here are the ingredients from the bag I have: Corn meal and/or yellow corn flour, cane sugar, flax seeds, buckwheat flour, quinoa, amaranth, sea salt, tocopherols (vitamin E). Organic. Produced in a facility that uses peanuts, tree nuts and soy. So there it is!
I was recently put on a fodmap diet by my gastroenterologist, and I really knew nothing about gluten free food. So it was all research and browsing the gluten free sections in stores, until I stumbled upon these flakes in Walmart and boy am I happy I found them! I will definitely keep buying these, they are delicious and really fill me up.
There seems to be a new "Sunrise." The ingredients now include "natural flavors." Since I do not buy products with mystery ingredients, I left the box on the shelf. The previous box of "Sunrise" did not have the mysterious "natural flavors" in its list of ingredients. I am not interested in buying "flavor." I want real food with its own flavor without additives.
